The Annual Dinner is a community-centered event where business colleagues will come together to honor the 2023 Community Leadership Award Recipient, Donnie Holcomb, and hear from featured speaker, Brad Smith, President, Marshall University.
Since 1991, the Community Leadership Award has been given annually to the business leader or organization who has most positively impacted the community through their excellence in business leadership and community service over their lifetime.
Donnie Holcomb has had a successful career working as a CPA, CFO, VP and President of private companies in the areas of contract mining, automotive dealerships and consulting for natural resources. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Donnie is a volunteer and philanthropist and one of the most generous people you will ever meet.
This year’s speaker, Brad Smith, became the 38th President of Marshall University in January 2022. As a proud West Virginian with a passion for leadership and philanthropy, Brad D. Smith is focused on helping facilitate change by developing, supporting and investing in people. His devotion to giving back to his home state runs deep and he is committed to providing educational and economic development resources to the Appalachian region where many communities have been disproportionately affected by technological and economic change.
